Besides Fishing the intercoastal and the Atlantic Ocean you have the beach itself. Hotels on the beach are fairly inexpensive to down right cheap all depending on what you are looking for. The run of the mill Motel on Daytona Beach itself runs between $37.00 to $100.00 a night. Of course you get what you pay for, Daytona beach is a true beach town boosted by a speedway and the early 1980’s beach and babe movies . When we say you get what you pay for, be prepared for it. A $37.00 a night week night rate will get you a clean room in an old Motel directly on the Beach, Most of the time with a clean pool. We have always looked upon Daytona Beach as an alternative stay to our weather here on the west coast of Florida. When the West coast of Florida is getting a drenching, we head to the east coast, Daytona Beach. You can take a party boat out for as little as $40.00 a person or fish the jetty, either way you will have plenty of fun and Relaxing. You can watch the waves crashing or maybe walk the boardwalk and have a few beers. Only 2 hour drive from Tampa, You have to remember to bring a cooler for the trip, fully stocked… do to some of the beach prices for Alcoholic beverages get pretty pricy, but other then that a real inexpensive 2 or 3 day trip. Plenty of Charters for inshore or offshore in Daytona, A good hint is to always stay on the beach itself, if you don’t you will be disappointed. Try and stay close to the pier to be close to the action. Always ask to see the room you will be renting to make sure it is adequate for your needs and tastes.
