Captain Woody’s weekend fishing report update
Took two girlfriends of mine fishing last Saturday night ran offshore to some rocky bottom and tried to snapper fish, got a few small but seas were a tad rough so we fished for small black tips got three and called it an early night, humidity and rough seas are not comfortable. LOL.
Running offshore Sunday. Will give you a report Monday on how we did. Hope all is great in your world.

Reported by Captain Woody out of Palm Harbor…Ran out Sunday offshore to 120 feet hit several big red grouper 3 nice Gags and Chic Mahi’s and a couple of kingfish and 3 nice red Snapper also fished the Jetti for some nice snook.
When fishing offshore for grouper I always start with squid to get the bite started, then I move to cut sardines (cut on an angle), then I move to whole sardines when the bite gets going, then after several nice bites and fish in the boat I move to live pinfish. A grouper dessert. The one mistake I did make was not having a freeline run off the back of the boat, always have a free line with a ladyfish, greenback or a pinfish just in case that sail or kingfish come by. We had the kings hit on baits on the way to the bottom.
The snooking we had done on another trip along the jetties we used both large greenbacks, jumbo shrimp (Difficult to come by) and palm size pinfish.**************************************************************************************
